Chocolate Cures All!

The theory that chocolate cures all proved true at last Saturday’s 16th Annual Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival. Food afficionados from all over the industry gathered to get first dibs on new, budding entrepreneurs who show promising potential— Marshmallow Mischief being one of them. We met food scientists, nutritional bloggers and marketing geniuses from Vancouver, Santa Cruz and of course San Francisco. Getting to talk to such a diverse crowd within the food business proved enlightening as well as encouraging.
We were a hit! No matter their speciality, each person was impressed with our commitment to nutrition with quality in-season ingredients, but without sacrificing the taste which makes us especially popular with the chocolate-crazed crowd. Like all passionate people, foodies were sharply divided between our Amaretto-flavored Dirty Drunken Cherry crisp (yes, we love the name just as much as you do) and its classic chocolate counterpart, the Tall Dark and Crispy (name just as lovely).
But by the end of the day, everyone was united in their love for chocolate and unrelenting desire to experiment new flavors in whatever combinations. Project Open Hand received 10% of profits made that day, and we delighted in another episode of mischievous indulgence.
